Jimmy Kimmel’s Post Debate Kids Out of Focus Group

Jimmy Kimmel went live for a post debate edition of JKL, he just didn’t make a big deal about it like other late night hosts. To discuss the Presidential election, Jimmy talked to some people who aren’t even legally able to vote…yet. He did what he does so well, a kids focus group, or as he calls it, an “Out of Focus Group”.

The kids had their own takes on the latest Presidential debate. All three found the debate to be annoying, the candidates as “not nice to each other” and both Trump and Clinton were considered “rude”. Donald Trump was singled out by the kids Out of Focus Group, for the no-no of talking when someone else is speaking. The three younglings that were interviewed were shocked to find out that Donald and Hillary used to be friends and that Hillary went to his wedding (his most recent one).

Jimmy Kimmel asked the kids, if the candidates were vegetables what would they be? Okay, you can guess the children’s answer about Trump and you’d be right. But watch the clip below to see what piece of produce Hillary reminds the kids of. As the scripture goes, out of the mouths of babes.

Kimmel’s group were also quizzed on photographs of the candidates’ running mates to see if they could identify them. When it came to Tim Kaine, the answers varied between George Clooney and another George who was the Father of Our Country. He was also assigned a vegetable to his face without Jimmy even asking. Mike Pence was cited for being “frownier”. One thing all the kids agreed on no matter if they were a boy or girl was that it’s time for America to have a girl President and that women make better Presidents.

Other parts of the post-debate JKL included Jimmy Kimmel doing his best to keep Ken Bone’s 15 minutes of fame going. He also invited Libertarian Presidential candidate and uninvited debater Gary Johnson to the show. Johnson talked a lot about decriminalizing marijuana in America and how other places in the world are handling the heroin problem better than our country is dealing with it. Jimmy Kimmel thought he could double Gary Johnson’s poll numbers, especially with millennials, if he would show how good he was at rolling a joint using papers and regular tobacco provided by Jimmy. The former governor declined. Another disappointing moment from Gary Johnson.
