Jerrod Carmichael’s HBO Stand Up Special Premieres Saturday, October 4th

Coming October 4th to HBO, it’s Jerrod Carmichael’s first stand up comedy special. Actually, it’s more than that. October 4th is Jerrod Carmichael’s first time being seen doing stand up on television.
His debut one hour special, Love At The Store premieres Saturday, October 4th at 10 pm et on HBO. It was directed by Spike Lee and produced by Funny or Die. The special was filmed in the Original Room at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Jerrod returned there to do his new hour because that was the first place where he ever did comedy.
In “Love At The Store”, Jerrod takes on issues like poverty, wealth, inequality and national tragedies in America. He also explains why he voted for Barack Obama twice. He really thought he’d get a discount on things.
He’s also doing a “Love At The Store” mini-tour to promote the special. You can see Jerrod at the following places.

Jerrod Carmichael currently has a development deal and is working with NBC on a pilot. This past Summer, Jerrod appeared in the hit movie “Neighbors” and he’s been seen on the comedy series “Comedy Bang! Bang!”. He also just wrapped up his road dates with the Oddball Comedy Festival tour which was also produced by Funny or Die.
