Go to a Live Show at the Comedy Cellar in Your Local Movie Theater

After more than 40 years of selling out performances in New York City, the world-famous Comedy Cellar is going national. Next Saturday, August 5, two shows at the world famous stage will stream their shows live to 48 Regal movie theaters across the United States. It will be live, uncensored and bigger than life.
The Comedy Cellar made an announcement this week. In a partnership with comedy steaming service Mint comedy and the second-largest movie theater chain in the USA– Regal Cinema– The Cellar will make comedy history, because this is the first time a comedy club is going to live stream a show into movie theaters.
The legendary comedy cellar owner Noam Dworman said in a statement that “It’s been proven we laugh 30 times more when watching comedy as part of a live audience, compared to watching alone at home on our devices, With Live From The Comedy Cellar, we’re giving comedy fans the opportunity to watch our sold-out shows, live and uncensored, without having to travel to New York City to do it – and all for the price of a movie ticket.”
The shows will be Hosted by Rich Aronovitch and featuring six national headliners, including Yamaneika Saunders, Jared Freid, Pat Burtscher, John Bishop, Ethan Simmons-Patterson, and Zarna Garg.
Live From The Comedy Cellar will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET. And as with all good Cellar show you never know what going to happen and especially who will show up. So this will be an event you will definitely not want to miss.
For those who don’t know about the Comedy Cellar it’s famous for its distinctive “showcase format,” featuring multiple television-headliner comedians performing their 15-20 minute sets. The renowned Comedy Club frequently plays host to giants like Dave Chapelle, Ray Romano, Jon Stewart, Dave Atell, Amy Schumer and Chris Rock, among others. In addition to these household names, virtually every important comedian of the last 30 years have performed at the iconic venue, many starting long before they were the icons you know today. These stars continue to use the Cellar as their home base. The Comedy Cellar is known for having the world’s best taste in comedians.
As the most successful and longest-running comedy club in New York City history, the Cellar has been hailed by the toughest critics in the world and said to have “a billion dollars worth of comedians.
And these iconic shows aren’t recorded– so unless you can afford a trip to NYC and tickets to a show at the Cellar you can’t experience it- at least until now. And if this turns out to be a massive success this could be a game changer in comedy and bring extra income to the comedy clubs when they really need it.
