‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee’ Picked Up for Second Season

It looks like the executives over at TBS are well aware that they’ve got a good thing going with Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, having announced today that the show has been renewed for another season and will be moving to a new day. The show currently airs on Mondays at 10:30 p.m, but will make the move to Wednesdays at 10:30 starting in 2017.

“I am only sorry that this renewal leaves me unavailable for a cabinet position in the new administration,” Bee joked in an official announcement. “I will, however, be available to host the White House Correspondents Dinner, seeing as I already bought the dress.”

As Deadline reports, the show has been gradually gaining steam in its viewership, especially among fans in the key 18-49 demographic. This success as of late is likely tied to Bee’s election coverage, which has been consistently poignant and absolutely hilarious; Bee is truly one of the funniest voices on television right now.

Now if only this move had been made a long time ago, we would have had Bee on the air during last week’s election night, rather than the day before and the day after. Having Bee’s commentary to listen to would surely have made living in the waking nightmare that was last Wednesday just a little bit easier to deal with.

The first season of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee will come to a close on December 12th, with season two set to premiere some time in 2017.
