First Look at ‘The Opposition with Jordan Klepper’ on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah

Last night, former Daily Show correspondent Jordan Klepper returned to NEP Studio 52 to sit down with Trevor Noah and introduce the audience to his new upcoming show, The Opposition with Jordan Klepper. The new show, Klepper claims, will “represent the outsiders, the underdogs, like our billionaire TV-star president.”
The Opposition’s mission statement, according to Klepper, is to “expose the greedy globalists who chase power and money; I also want to get more Twitter followers and build my brand, so in a way, I’m looking to expose myself,” something Klepper insists he was never arrested for per say, only questioned about. While he enjoyed his time on The Daily Show, Klepper says that he was eventually red-pilled to the fact that he was living in a bubble of liberal talking points absent of any opposing views. The red pill in question wasn’t the one you hear talked about on 4chan, however, but one that Klepper swiped from fellow correspondent Roy Wood Jr.’s dressing room. Klepper has now proven that he’s not only a seeker of truth, but also a narc, so peddlers of fake news, beware!
Check out Klepper’s appearance below.
Klepper, an alum of both The Upright Citizens Brigade and The Second City, was a natural fit for The Daily Show. He was a standout star during his three-year stint as a correspondent, producing some highly-popular segments for the show and even filling in as host last year while Noah was out sick. While many of his segments went on to garner hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube, his most popular piece by far was the special he released back in June titled Jordan Klepper Solves Guns, in which Klepper (in character) tackled the gun control issue by speaking with politicians and gun advocates, embedding himself with gun-toting militiamen, and even traveling to the Mecca of gun ownership, the NRA National Convention.
Klepper’s biting wit, expertly-dry delivery and, uh, tallness, make him an easy choice for Comedy Central’s (potential) next big thing. You can check out The Opposition with Jordan Klepper when it debuts on Comedy Central on September 25th at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT, right after The Daily Show.
