E! Considered Tape Delaying Chelsea Lately Finale

According the New York Daily News’ Confidenti@l, the execs at E! were considering making Chelsea Handler tape her one hour series finale show for August 26th. The fear was letting Handler run live and unchecked for 60 minutes.
The thought was that Handler who has talked about being unhappy at E! and is leaving for Netflix, would go off on some of the entertainment channel’s other stars including the Kardashians, Ryan Seacrest and Joan Rivers, who she already has a running feud with.
The ultimate decision was to let the finale run live. It’s scheduled for August 26th and reportedly there will be cameos from Chelsea’s favorite guests including Jennifer Aniston, Mary McCormack and Gwyneth Paltrow, plus an original musical number.
