seeso

The new Seeso app, containing all the comedy-specific content of NBCUniversal’s Digital Enterprises, launched yesterday on Roku, Amazon Fire, Android and iOS platforms, and can of course also be used via www.seeso.com. The app is free for subscribers who pay only $3.99 a month for the comedy hub.

Featuring over 2,000 hours of programming, Seeso grants access to the complete libraries of late night night shows like those of Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and SNL, with new episodes coming out the following day. Other NBC properties like Parks and Recreation, The Office, and 30 Rock can be watched in their entirety via the app as well. Seeso will also be bringing some extra fresh content to its subscribers. The app is host to a slew of original shows, such as the Upright Citizen Brigade’s The UCB Show, Sammy J & Randy in Ricketts Lane, and the animated series based on the popular web comic, The Cyanide and Happiness Show. Also joining the roster will be British hits like The Mighty Boosh, The IT Crowd, and Fawlty Towers. With platforms like Roku, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV, the decision about whether to cut the cable cord is becoming easier and easier. For comedy fans, apps like this are the perfect way to gain access to hours of quality content for a considerably low price.
