Comedy Club Inside an East Village Apartment Teams Up with Above Average

Popular web series Live @ The Apt has joined forces with comedy platform Above Average to produce a series of episodes and bonus content this summer. Live @ The Apt, created by Drew Miller, Nick Cherneff and Dan Hurwitz, was first conceived as a way to showcase up-and-coming comics in New York City. In the series, comics perform in front of intimate audiences inside Miller’s East Village apartment. Comics who have previously performed on the show include Dan Soder, Hannibal Buress, Jermaine Fowler, Aparna Nancherla, Liza Treyger, Nicole Byer, Matteo Lane and many more.
“Over three years, seventy-five shows and one hundred and fifty videos later, the ‘Live @ The Apt’ team couldn’t be more excited to partner with a leading comedy brand like Above Average,” said ‘Live @ The Apt’ co-creator Drew Miller. “We started ‘Live @ The Apt’ in my East Village walk-up with the goal of creating a digital platform for audiences to discover up-and-coming stand-up talent, and we can’t wait to bring a new season of our intimate show to Above Average’s vast fan base of comedy lovers.”
The joint venture will produce a limited run of five episodes featuring Mark Normand (Conan and Tuesdays with Stories,) Phoebe Robinson (Late Night with Seth Meyers,) Sean Patton (The Half Hour,) Hasan Minhaj (The Daily Show correspondent,) Beth Stelling (Jimmy Kimmel Live!,) and Brandon Wardell (VICE’s Flophouse.) The episodes will be released every other week through July, alternating each week with episodes of Mike O’Brien’s (of Saturday Night Live) 7 Minutes in Heaven.
Check out Above Average every other week for new content from this hilarious series. The first episode, featuring Phoebe Robinson, has already been released.
