Chris Rock Hosts Saturday Night Live Tonight!

It’s been 18 years since Chris Rock hosted Saturday Night Live, but even though he returns tonight, all anyone can talk about is his musical guest, Prince. And that includes Chris Rock. In his SNL promos, Chris Rock talks about the mythical powers of just uttering Prince’s name. There’s even a Prince sighting on the streets outside the GE Building in New York. Apparently, no one has ever noticed how much Prince looks like Bobby Moynihan.

Chris Rock is part of Saturday Night Live’s 40th anniversary season which is featuring some former cast members coming back to host. Chris was part of the cast for 3 seasons in the 90s. Other SNL alumni who have come back to host this season include Sarah Silverman and Bill Hader.

Prince returns as musical guest tonight for the first time since 2006. Chris Rock not only asked for Prince to perform, but requested that he play one uninterrupted extended 8 minute spot tonight instead of the two traditional SNL musical segments.

Chris Rock hosts Saturday Night Live tonight at 11:30 pm et on NBC.
