Bonnie McFarlane, Paul Virzi to Headline Inaugural New York Comedy Club Show

People say that we’re living in a golden age of comedy, and judging by all the killer shows available just in New York City alone, we think that might be true. Case in point: The New York Comedy Club has just announced that they’ve got a new headliner series coming to the club that aims to shine a spotlight on some of the hottest comics in the city, and they’ve got a great first round of comics to start things off.
Beginning on April 3rd, New York Comedy Club will begin hosting The Quarterly. This (you guessed it) quarterly show will feature four comics who will each perform an hour-long set during the week, rounding out the week with two big showcase shows. For the inaugural event, the four comics to be featured will be Bonnie McFarlane, Nore Davis, Yamaneika Saunders, and Paul Virzi. Davis will perform Monday, April 3rd, Saunders on Tuesday, April 4th, Virzi on Wednesday, April 5th, and McFarlane on Thursday the 6th. All four comics will then get together on Saturday, April 8th for two showcases.
The move is just one small step in the larger reconstruction effort of the New York Comedy Club. Since taking over the business in 2014, owners Scott Lindner and Emilio Savone have worked tirelessly to improve the image of the club and bring in a higher-quality stable of performers in an effort to establish a regular base of comics and fans. Renovations, a drastically increased number of showtimes and a higher pedigree of talent have all led to NYCC’s reputation rising as of late, and it shows. Week to week, the club features a great lineup of showcases, album launches and hilariously creative stage shows featuring names like Judah Friedlander, Emma Willmann, Aaron Berg, Mark Normand, Jessica Kirson, Greg Stone, Sean Patton and many more.
