Bill Cosby’s Canadian Shows Will Go On Despite Promoter’s Lack Of Endorsement

Innovation Arts and Entertainment has released a statement saying that 3 Bill Cosby shows the promoter has booked in Canada will go on as scheduled despite protests that they be cancelled. Those shows are at Centre in the Square in Kitchener, Budweiser Gardens in London, and Hamilton Place in Hamilton.
However in their statement, IAE made it clear the management company is not a fan of Cosby’s alleged acts. “The fact that an artist is performing on stages at each of these venues is no endorsement, in any way, of behavior of that artist.”
The company also stated that since Cosby wants to perform, they have no choice but to host his appearances despite the fact that continuing with the shows is against public sentiment.
“IAE has been informed by Mr. Cosby’s representatives that he has every intent to perform these events. As such we are honoring the terms of the contracts signed by all parties so as to not be in breach, which we fully understand is an unpopular, but undeniable fact. While we understand and empathize this is a difficult time, we hope it is understood that both the venues and IAE are legally obligated to proceed as it applies to our commitments, and that we would face crippling legal obstacles for violation.”
Promoters also realize that there could be protests and want to let anyone know who’s attending the shows that they’re prepared if anything gets ugly. IAE said, “While it is disappointing for the need to worry about the theater being a place for planned protests, we are fully prepared to protect our audience, and provide for their safety.”
So Canada, sit back, relax and enjoy the unendorsed, reluctant, security concerned show!
