Andy Samberg Developing Another HBO Sports Mockumentary

Last year, Andy Samberg and producer/writing partner Murray Miller released the tennis mockumentary 7 Days in Hell through their company Legends of Sport.

The film was a surrealist look at a seven-day long tennis match and a parody of the sometimes hilarious characters that rise to the top of the sport. Generally well received online, Samberg and Miller are now following up 7 Days in Hell with another sports mockumentary, titled Tour de Pharmacy. Not much is known about the film just yet, other than the fact that it will parody the rampant doping allegations that have plagued the sport of professional cycling for years now. No release date has been announced. Samberg and Mller are writing the film and are set to executive produce as well. Samberg will star (no doubt playing a Lance Armstrong-type character) along with Daveed Diggs, Will Forte, Dolph Lundgren, Julia Ormond, Phylicia Rashad, John Cena, Mike Tyson and Comedy Central’s Nathan Fielder.
