Ali Wong is JFL42’s First Announced Headliner!

One year after the release of her critically-acclaimed Netflix special Baby Cobra, Ali Wong’s star continues to rise. The comic, writer and actress has earned the honor of being the very first headliner announced for this year’s upcoming JFL42, taking place from September 21st — September 30th. The Toronto-based festival, which hosts 42 international performers each year, is going on its sixth year, and the pedigree of comics only gets better with age.

Festival organizers announced that Wong will be playing two shows at Toronto’s Winter Garden Theatre on September 23rd, one at 7 p.m. and one at 10 p.m. If the sales from her current North American tour are any indication, these tickets will go fast, so be sure to secure yours ASAP. Tickets will go on pre-sale at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd, and will be available to the general public on Thursday, May 4th at 10 a.m. They can be bought through JFL42’s website.

Besides her hit Netflix special, Wong has also made a name for herself as a writer on ABC’s hit show Fresh Off the Boat, as well as a co-star on the network’s American Housewife. In addition to her live action roles, Wong has also lent her voice to animated features like Netflix’s BoJack Horseman, HBO’s Animals, and The Angry Birds Movie. She’s also scheduled to put out a collection of essays sometime in 2018 through Random House.
