The 5: Exavier Poole From The Trap Nerds Podcast Shares His All Time Top 5 Comics Book Series

The Trap Nerds Podcast
The Trap Nerds launched in the middle of the COVID pandemic with their first episode dedicated to actor Chadwick Boseman as the group chatted about the actor’s legacy and how Marvel will move forward with the Black Panther storyline following his passing. It has been their goal from the start to inform people of color that there are people out there that look like them who are interested and invested in these types of “nerd” genres.

The 5: Exavier Poole’s All Time Top 5 Comic Books
Civil War 2. Not only was the artwork amazing, but the storyline and characters in the series were incredible! The series had so much emotion and so much action. I’ve read each book multiple times.
Iron Heart. I was first in line for issue one and it has now become my prized possession. The introduction of RIRi Williams in this series had some of the best writing and artwork I’ve seen.
Flashpoint Batman. I love how Thomas Wayne was portrayed in the Flashpoint series and when I found out he had his own series, I was excited. I read that book through and through for 3 months straight.
Metal Men .This series is close to me because I have dyslexia and I hated reading as a kid. I got this comic at the thrift store when I was 6 and it was the first book I read through and through on my own. When I got older, I was able to find a full series of Metal Men comics from an estate sale.
Flashpoint . This graphic novel will forever be my all time favorite. I love the comics, the cartoon movie, the Flashpoint story in the TV show and I can’t wait for the movie. It’s my favorite DC storyline even though Batman is my favorite DC character.
