‘Nathan For You’ Returns to TV Next Month; Check Out the Trailer!

It’s been a long time coming, but comedian Nathan Fielder’s beloved docu-series Nathan For You has released a trailer for the show’s upcoming fourth season on Comedy Central, due out on Thursday, September 28th.

For the uninitiated, Nathan For You is a documentary reality series in which Fielder, playing a bizarro version of himself, uses his real life business background to “help” struggling people and businesses turn things around. The show focuses on the formation of Fielder’s elaborate and ridiculous marketing schemes that often leave his clients more confused and incredulous than anything else. As an example of one of Fielder’s marketing ploys, he attempted to help a petting zoo gain notoriety by staging a hoax video in which one of the zoo’s pigs “rescued” a baby goat who was trapped in a pond. The video ended up garnering over nine million views and the attention of multiple mainstream media outlets before it was revealed to be a hoax.

This upcoming season promises to be Fielder’s most ambitious season yet, kicking off with an hour-long retrospective special with former show guests on September 21st, and finishing up with a two-hour season finale that Fielder claims will be a totally unique television experience. Some of this season’s brilliant business ploys include staffing a computer repair shop with an entirely asexual staff in order to help customers feel more comfortable, rebranding smoke alarms as musical instruments to avoid international taxes, and smuggling chili into a hockey arena to cut out the middle man.
