The Wonders From ’That Thing You Do!’ Reunite in LA on The Goddamn Comedy Jam

Josh Adam Meyers’ Goddamn Comedy Jam has created no shortage of magic on stage, but he may have outdone himself last night. During last night’s show, which featured comics like Bill Burr and Harland Williams rocking out on stage, Meyers brought out some seriously unexpected surprise guests: Ethan Embry, Tom Everett Scott and Johnathon Schaech, AKA three-quarters of The Oneders AKA The Wonders from the classic Tom Hanks film That Thing You Do!

The reunion was an epic surprise not only for the lucky audience members at Los Angeles’ Roxy Theatre, but also for the legions of fans at home who haven’t seen the beloved fictional band together since they originally appeared on screen in 1996. The only missing member was actor Steve Zahn, though Meyers did make sure to pay homage to the band’s absent guitarist:
