“It’s Detroit, things are fucked up. In the multiverse, there’s one constant: Detroit’s fucked.”

– Chris Stanley

It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here: The High Society Radio RoboCop commentary podcast!

For a few years now, ever since the disappointment that was their Snowpiercer viewing, HSR hosts Chris “Pepper Hicks” Stanley, Bronx Johnny and Chris from Brooklyn have been throwing around the idea of doing a full-length commentary on the cult-classic RoboCop, a favorite of theirs. While the idea’s been in the works for awhile, it was the passing of actor and RoboCop star Miguel Ferrer last week that finally pushed the boys to sit down and shoot the episode.

Coming in at 1:47:19, the episode is an extra-long treat from the hosts, full of the shit-talking and speculation that makes the show so great. This episode is definitely one for the HSR history books.

I know what you’re thinking: “I just discovered something I never knew I needed, but now I need it as soon as possible.” To check out the audio version of the commentary, head over to  iTunes or the  GaS Digital Network’s website and download the episode. You can simply listen along or for the full experience, you can sync up your copy of RoboCop with theirs and watch Bob Morton get blown away complete with commentary from Pepper, Chris, and the King of Backpage himself, Bronx Johnny.

To tune in to the live High Society Radio broadcast each week, head over to GaS Digital’s website and subscribe; your $7 a month subscription will give you access not only to high-quality video streams of High Society Radio, but also to shows like Legion of Skanks, Tim Dillon Is Going to Hell, Dave Smith’s Part of the Problem, Luis J. Gomez’s Real Ass Podcast and more.
