Kevin Hart has done so much already in his career. That includes becoming the first comedian to sell out an NFL stadium for a performance which is all captured in his new comedy concert film “Kevin Hart: What Now?” in theaters everywhere next weekend. So after that feat plus becoming the world’s highest paid comic according to Forbes while launching a new network, a  Comedy Central series (Kevin Hart: Hart of the City) and continuing a thriving film career, what could possibly be next for Kevin Hart?

In an interview with Maxim, Hart announced what will be the next phase of the Kevin Hart empire. He intends on becoming the next number one box office action star in the world. If you look at his latest films, including “Central Intelligence” and the “Ride Along” action comedies, you can see that this looks like a natural progression for the comedy star. He told Maxim, “You’ll get to see the big Kevin Hart action star slowly grow into reality. I’ve been doing the action comedies for a minute, so now it’ll be steps up above it to where I’m doing action. Just trying to add some flair to it, that’s all.”

A sample of that is the introduction piece to his stand up concert film “What Now?” which features Kevin Hart in a James Bond type role. He says, “That was the point of doing that teaser, it was to give people a glimpse of what’s to come. We’re developing things now that are gonna put me in that light.”

When it comes to his comedy, Kevin Hart hopes it will define him for a generation of fans. He wants to match the heights of popularity that Eddie Murphy hit back in the 20th century. Hart called Eddie Murphy his inspiration. “He’s forever a legend, and I will always hold him at the highest level. He was a comedic rock star. When he was in his prime, you’re looking at a guy who was the definition of stand-up comedy. He made comedy shows events, he was dressed to the nines, and it was all about going to see him, to hear what he had to say. I want to do that—become that for this generation.”

Selling out Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia with 53,000 people is a good start. Kevin Hart:What Now? opens in theaters nationwide Friday, October 14th.
