The Arsenio Hall Show Has Been Cancelled

Arsenio Hall had his show cancelled again. He announced on Twitter that he had lost his show after only one season back on the air. This was Arsenio’s second run at late night. The original Arsenio Hall Show was cancelled 20 years ago.  The disappearance of the show from Late Night means a big loss as a spot for comedians, to perform, and is a hard hit after the recent cancellation of the Pete Holmes Show, another great Late Night venue for performing stand up.  Some of the  great guests from this past season include Paul Mooney, Jeff Garlin, Jimmy Walker, JB Smoove, Cheech and Chong, Katt Williams, Jimmy Ouyang, Carl Reiner, Don Rickles, Dick Gregory, Gabriel Iglesias, Penn Jillette and so many others.  He even gave director Kevin Smith a stage for his rap debut.

CBS Distribution, which syndicated the show, had just announced in February that the Arsenio Hall Show was coming back for a second season. By May, that deal was off due to a poor ratings performance. It’s like some sort of late night jinx came in and rubbed his bad luck all over Arsenio’s second season renewal.
