The Anthony Cumia Show is Now The Anthony Cumia Network: First New Show Announced

anthony cumia network

welcomes his first new show to his broadcasting platform.

Less than one year since Anthony Cumia first started offering his own show, “The Anthony Cumia Show” (TACS), Cumia has announced today his first step into the world of content networking. The first show to join the TACS network will be the “Legion of Skanks” podcast featuring Big , and Luis J Gomez. The Legion will be the first to team up with Cumia, offering programming starting in June 2015, broadcasting every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10pm.

Cumia who was one half of the infamous Opie and Anthony Show for 20 years, left SiriusXM last July and quickly started his own subscriber based show via anthonycumia.com in August of 2014. Since then Cumia has been offering daily shows Monday through Thursday from 4pm to 6pm to subscribers, will a full range of archived shows available to those who signed on. One of the selling points of the network is that it is completely uncensored, often delving into topics that would be curtailed on traditional broadcast networks.

In less than one year, Cumia’s uncensored talk program has taken off, with a loyal fan base, and now Cumia is looking to expand and offer other programming. “Adding the Legion of Skanks show for our subscribers marks a commitment to those that have supported AnthonyCumia.com these last ten months, that this platform is here to stay and will evolve into a network,” said Anthony Cumia.

Stand up comedians and real-life best friends , Luis J. Gomez, and Dave Smith host their weekly “podcast party” from the The Creek and The Cave Restaurant and Comedy Club in Long Island City where they invite their loyal fans in studio to hang out and listen in as they discuss anything and everything in a hilarious and uncensored way.

“I’m very excited to be making this move and very proud to be the first new show on the network,” said comedian Big Jay Oakerson.

Starting in June, subscribers to AnthonyCumia.com will have access to both The Anthony Cumia Show live Monday-Thursday from 4-6p.m. EST and Legion of Skanks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Both programs will stream live and are archived for on demand access. They are available as video, audio-only and in RSS feed podcast formats.

To get access to both shows, subscribe online at AnthonyCumia.com, plans are available per month, six months and annually – all with unlimited access.

LoS instantly becomes the best show on the “network”. Going to piss off a lot of their fans being behind a paywall now. Dumb move, guys.

LoS is one of maybe four podcasts i listen to weekly no matter what, and while i don’t begrudge the move by any means, won’t be following and don’t think i’ll really miss it all that much

I’ve never understood why people get so much shit for trying to put a little money in their pocket.  LOS is hilarious, and I hope this works out for everyone involved

malcomxtracrisp Kevin Smith has a network of shows and doesnt charge–neither does Joe Rogan.

Listening to commercials is cheaper than paying to listen to a show I like, but not enough to pay for.

I wish em all the luck but LoS are all touring comics with other shows–how many best ofs comes prepackaged with this deal?

    no thanks

can’t say as a fan of Jay and Luis, that I’m thrilled with the pairing. I’m assuming Jay got tired of waiting on SXM to take him with Soder so I get the move, but I hope it doesn’t change the show. It’s bad enough Dave Smith can’t go a show without using the terms “liberal” and “feminist” condescendingly…under Anthony’s banner, it’s a prerequisite

Also… I don’t mind expanding the network at all as long as the price stays the same… I’m more than happy to pay for all of Sirius/XM even though I only use it for Bennington for 3 hours a day…
…but as great as Big Jay & Louis Gomez are they ain’t Bennington…

@Gregg Piss off people who aren’t willing to spend $7 a month on their product? Im sure they will gladly leave them in the dust for the many who will gladly pay it to see an extra episode a week, better video quality and all Anthony Cumia podcasts…

I am unfamiliar with the Legion of Skanks but I hope the “Network” doesn’t turn into another right wing platform.  When Ant left Sirius, the funny (that he was largely responsible for) had mostly left the show and all that was left was mostly Ant’s right wing ranting and thinly disguised racism.  I hope Ant remembers his funny because he was one of the funniest and cleverest, ever.  Leave your politics at home or make it a small part of the show; people want and need FUNNY!

Too be completely honest here.  The Skanks are actually probably going to lose listeners by going to a pay platform.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they already had more listeners than Antony.

  33. Dwayne Hoover

    May 28, 2015 at 1:13 am

@velvetfan  The Legion of Skanks is far left and progressive, they are frequent contributors to MSNBC and NPR. They will definitely bring you the FUNNY. Anthony is trying to balance the politics.

Anthony is hilarious, does he get a little one note sometimes yes but who doesn’t let’s be honest. It’s not nearly as often as people may think or claim and it really is a quality entertainment show. I don’t agree with EVERYTHING be says but even the stuff I don’t he finds a way to at least make it enjoyable to listen to and there’s always the option to skip an episode if you feel it gets to be too much for your taste. I really enjoy LoS but honestly didn’t know of them until hearing about them on Rogan and Anthony’s shows respectively, I also wouldn’t be surprised if Joe Rogan who credits Anthony (and Opie) as the main radon he ever even started a podcast eventually goes to Anthony’s network somehow.

  35. VegasGary

    June 3, 2015 at 1:34 am

Joe Rogan taking to Vos on his last podcast basically said a pay platform like Anthony has is ridiculous and won’t work. I guarantee in a year the show will be free. He isn’t gaining any listeners and isn’t going to. He is preaching to the already converted. Rogan has probably 500 times the listeners than Anthony has and that might actually be a low number on my guess.

  36. emlax3

    June 3, 2015 at 8:21 am

VegasGary Funny how some of Rogans listeners will basically parrot anything he said even if its just a spur of the moment thought.

You have no clue how many listeners he has. Neither does Joe. That is why Joe asked if he has any idea what the sub #’s are.

While I would rather have TACS for free, I also understand why he made the right move business wise and will always continue on this way. Joe Rogan is made for the masses. He is straight down the line politically and has fans from all walks of life. He picks and chooses when to offend and when he does, its rarely any group big enough to do damage to him.

Anthony already has a set fan base from the past 20 years. He has a large group of people that love him and an even larger group that hate him and would never like him regardless. He has extreme views that would scare many sponsors away. But his large, loyal following will always be willing to pay $7 a month to listen to him.

He will NEVER be ad based. Nor should he be.
