See the First Trailer for Josh Gad and Billy Crystal In “The Comedians”
FX has released its first trailer for the new series “The Comedians” starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad. The network is calling it “An FX original comedy about an FX original comedy.
Josh Gad told Entertainment Weekly about the idea behind his and Billy Crystal’s characters in “The Comedians”. He said, “He comes from more of an old-school mentality of wanting the purity of comedy in the way that he experienced it growing up in the industry, and I come from more of a take-no prisoners approach in that Apatow age of scatological humor and edgy comedy. And when the two of those things come to a head with each other, there’s conflict.”
If conflict equals comedy, “The Comedians” is going to be hilarious. In the trailer, Crystal and Gad are butting heads on everything from scripts to ham. But, there’s also horny bears. So that’s a plus.
“The Comedians” premieres on FX on Thursday, April 9th at 10pm et.
