Saturday Night Live combined Martin Freeman’s resume to come up with the most elaborate sketch of the night, “The Office – Middle Earth”. Bilbo Baggins, meets Tim from the “Office” at a paper company in the shire. Turns out the two worlds aren’t that different after all.
Bobby Moynihan’ Gandalf Brent included inappropriate sexual and racist jokes, but against Orcs. The make up department went all out to turn Taran Killam into Gollum Gareth who is constantly falling for pranks while complaining into the camera. And Kate McKinnon as elf receptionist Dawn, dances with Legolas at the Christmas party while Bilbo broods. It’s worlds colliding.
