Paul Scheer’s Interactive Improv Series “CC: Social Scene” Debuts Tonight

Comedy Central debuts a new digital interactive improv series online tonight.  It’s called CC: Social Scene and you can be a part of it.

Fans of comedy improv and the immediate response of social media should check out the new Comedy Central 6 episode series CC: Social Scene debuting tonight across multiple platforms.  The premise is simple: host Paul Scheer will ask viewers to tweet ideas  based on a list of topics, #CCsocialscene, and the comedians will improvise sketches based on the suggestions.

If you’d like to get in on the action, the topics are:

  • Break-Up Lines: Improv crew enacts a scene inspired by fan submitted break up lines
  • Worst Summer Blockbuster Trailers: Improv team will produce a trailer for films fans suggest
  • What Washes up on the Beach: The intrepid cast tries to enjoy a day at the beach but are constantly interrupted by random items that wash ashore all via fans tweets
  • Oddest Combos at the BBQ: Fans suggest who they want to see at the CC: Social Scene BBQ.  Cast members will create the many characters at the party
  • Beach Hogs: The improv crew will portray a scene inspired by fans’ beach horror stories

The ensemble cast includes Lee Newton, H. Michael Croner, Lilan Bowden, Jacob Womack, Jeff Sloniker and Barak Hardley.  The series is a partnership between Comedy Central and Redd’s Apple Ale. It will be available on CC.com; CC YouTube Channel; plus their Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram.
