Last night on Saturday Night Live, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey returned to the show to co-host, with Bruce Springsteen as musical guest. The show marked the return of Sarah Palin, and 2007 Hillary Clinton who time travelled to issue some warnings to the present day presidential candidate, as well as a brief return to the Weekend Update desk for Poehler and Fey. There was plenty of nostalgia and it was great to see the two funny women return to the 30 Rock stage, and the hands down funniest sketch of the night was the Pohler-Fey hosted game show “Meet Your Second Wife” with contestants played by Bobby Moynihan, Taran Killam, and Kenan Thompson with Vanessa Bayer, Aidy Bryant and Leslie Jones. There was also a surprise hilarious appearance from Amy Schumer in a digital short about hooking up with your ‘Squad’, and Maya Rudolph dropped in for a few sketches.

But the standout moment of the night had nothing to do with comedy– it was seeing Paul McCartney join Bruce Springsteen and the E. Street Band for a rendition of Springsteen’s “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” during the show’s closing credits. Springsteen also sang Meet Me in New York and The Ties that Bind. Merry Christmas!
