Last night when it was announced that the white police officer who shot Michael Brown in Ferguson Missouri would not be indicted, Twitter went into a tailspin. Many people went out into the streets and joined protests and sharing what they saw on social media. Those who stayed home were outraged by the announcement and looking to share their feelings. Still others were just feeling sad, angry and looking for comfort in the words of others. And some people who supported the Ferguson police force were tweeting their disagreement with pro Michael Brown celebs.

Throughout all of the emotional social media sharing going on, it was a Chris Rock account who grabbed up the lions share of love for his tweet last night, except that the real Chris Rock didn’t tweet anything about the announcement until this morning. But @ozchrisrock did. It’s a parody account. A troll who just uses the name Chris Rock. And if his tweet came across your twitter feed, it just looked like it came from Chris Rock.

So if anyone “won the internet” last night, I guess it was @ozchrisrock and his 46,520 retweets and 34,323 favorites. So if you were fooled into retweeting something inspirational last night by @ozchrisrock, you’ve been had.
