Did Chris Franjola Cock Block Bill Cosby From Getting With Chelsea Handler!?

Comedian and writer Chris Franjola wrote for and regularly performed on “Chelsea Lately” as well as writing for “Family Guy.” He’s also known as the host of “Anarchy Afterward” the live post show for the series “Sons of Anarchy.”

This week Franjola sat down with Jarrett Bellini at the W hotel in midtown Atlanta to talk about baseball, Long Island, the Beatles, and the time Chris may (or may not) have cock blocked Bill Cosby from Chelsea Handler.

Franjola told Bellini that he was hanging out with Chelsea after a show and got the chance to meet a childhood hero- Bill Cosby.  “He’s kind of mean,” Franjola said. “I don’t know if it’s joking. Almost like he’s being tongue in cheek.” Franjola said other comics confirmed that they had the same experiences with Cosby of him just coming across as a mean guy. Chris said the night he met Cosby was pre-scandal, and the comedy legend invited Chelsea Handler up to his room.  Chelsea suggested that maybe it would be better if Chris joined her up in Cosby’s room. “So in a way I was kind of cockblocking Cosby,” he said. They spent a lot of time with Cosby in his room, and Franjola said Cosby focused most of his attention on him, not Chelsea, and of course nothing happened. “He was just a grumpy old man. I don’t want to kick a man when he’s down,” he said.
