De Niro Ruins Letterman’s Plan to Ride Off Into the Sunset with Aubrey Plaza
Both these two talented funny people are winding down their great shows. Late Night with David Letterman is getting closer and closer to its final days, and Parks and Recreation is ending, so Aubrey Plaza and Dave Letterman make some plans about what to do after their shows wrap. They don’t want to get bored, so they’re thinking of hanging out together, but Dave keeps shooting down all her ideas. Dave’s not into the Kentucky Derby, or a Broadway show, or bowling, because he says he’s got a bad shoulder and his knees cramp. But he does have a great Montana ranch, and Aubrey does like wilder wests, but unfortunately it looks like Robert De Niro might ruin their plans to ride off into the sunset. Aubrey’s about to start shooting a comedy with De Niro in Atlanta later this week.
The film is called Dirty Grandpa, and Zac Efron is also on board. De Niro plays a grandpa looking for some action, and oddly enough Aubrey is playing a girl looking for some action. Oddly enough this sounds a lot like Aubrey and Dave making post retirement plans. Dave’s worried that Robert De Niro is too old for her. That’s what makes Dave such a great guy. He doesn’t just worry about the well being of his guests, he also worries about the well being of the characters they play.
