CBS Considering All Its Options For The Late Late Show

options for the late late show

CBS Entertainment Chairman Nina Tassler told the Television Critics Association that the network has a lot of “different ideas” on what to do with the 12:35 am slot when Craig Ferguson leaves the Late Late Show.

According to the New York Daily News, Tassler said their options include getting away from a standard desk interview late night format. She said – “It might not even be a talk show. Or it might.” Tassler also added that CBS still hasn’t decided on having a single host or multiple rotating hosts. There’s also the possibility that Ferguson’s replacement might not come from the world of comedy and that a host with a political background is an option.

On the transition from David Letterman to Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, Tassler said that the only things that have been decided is that Colbert will do interviews and he won’t be in his Colbert Report character. She added he still doesn’t even know if he’ll have a band yet or not.
