Amy Schumer Ready For Tomorrow’s Backlash After MTV Movie Awards
Amy Schumer Hosts MTV Movie Awards Tonight
Tonight Amy Schumer is hosting the MTV movie awards at 8pm. Tomorrow, she is already planning deal with an angry mob– or at least some pissed off viewers.
“I always think hosts do a good job, honestly. And then I’ll hear, ‘People are pissed,’” Schumer said. “I know people are going to be mad, they’re going to be mad, and that’s fine,” she told reporters.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Schumer told members of the press in Los Angeles that she isn’t planning to roast celebrities– except maybe for Kevin Hart, who she says “is such a good sport,” that she is “probably going to go after him pretty hard.”
Schumer didn’t say what she’s planning to talk about that will make people mad, but it won’t be transgender jokes or jokes about recent deaths.
Last month Schumer was seen testing some of her monologue jokes at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City with her sister Kim, and Chris Rock hanging around to give feedback. Our own Jeffrey Gurian was there that night and the audience was going crazy for Amy, but then again, they always do. But with sister Kim and stand up legend Chris Rock on her side, as well as some advice from former MTV Movie Awards hosts Aziz Ansari and Kevin Hart she’s definitely ready.
