Wired Rips Neil deGrasse Tyson

Wired Magazine is taking America’s favorite scientist down a peg. This week Wired posted an opinion piece (originally published on a blog by writer Sam Kriss) titled Neil deGrasse Tyson is a Black Whole Sucking the Fun Out of the Universe, which called him a “supposed” educator and poulariser of science. Tyson’s job, the story said, is to excite people, communicate info, and correct misconceptions. “This is a noble, arduous, and thankless job, which might be why he doesn’t do it. What he actually does is make the universe boring, tell people things that they already know, and dispel misconceptions that nobody actually holds.”

The worm is definitely turning on the Internet’s once favorite science pal. Maybe he just needs to go into twitter jail until we miss him.
