Will John Waters Ever Make Another Film?

“Fifty Years of John Waters: How Much Can You Take?”, the ‘Pink Flamingos’ director’s new retrospective is currently at the Lincoln Center in New York City. The center is screening John Waters’ films through September 14th. Sadly it looks like he will never make another movie.
When asked if he had any other films coming up, Waters told Rolling Stone – “My last book was a bestseller. My last movie was unsuccessful. I go where they like me [laughs]. So I’ll probably do a book next. I’ve been trying to get a movie made, but the independent movie world that I knew is now over.”
Can’t we find a new Devine to be his muse?
