Saturday Night Live is back tonight with its third episode of season 47. This year’s run of first time hosts continues with Rami Malek as the host. Like Kim Kardashian and Owen Wilson, Rami is making his Saturday Night Live debut.
While Malek himself has never appeared on SNL, one of his most famous characters has. Back in 2016, Rami’s near-doppleganger Pete Davidson played Malek’s character in a Mr. Robot sketch. Tonight it’s a given the two hoodie wearing personalities will reunite in a sketch that highlights their similar features. Maybe Davidson will even join him for his monologue. What else are we expecting to see on tonight’s all new episode? A Blue Origin sketch with newcomer James Austin Johnson playing Bezos, possibly Pete Davidson as Shatner and a catty George Takai moment with Bowen Yang seems like a good bet. A Freddy Mercury based sketch has to be a gimme, and a salute to past Bond villains maybe with a walk on Austin Powers cameo from Mike Myers. There simply has to be a Squid Games bit, another chance for Yang to get some prime screentime, and the longshot? We’re going with what if Batman was played by Rami Malek.
Rami Malek is currently co-starring in the new Bond Movie, No Time to Die. He plays big superbad Bond villain Lyutsifer Safin. Prior to taking on his Bond role Malek was best known for playing Freddie Mercury in the award winning biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and before that his breakout role as computer hacker Elliot Alderson in the USA Network television series Mr. Robot. Time magazine named Malek one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2019.

In the new promo Ego Nwodim, Bowen Yang and Yung Thug, Ego agrees to a staring contest with Rami, famous for his magnetic eyes, and Bowen confuses the movie Cats with No Time to Die.
