Who is Hosting Saturday Night Live Tonight: March 25, 2017

Tonight, Saturday Night Live, is not….live. But NBC never lets its fans down. You can still get your weekly dose of sketch, digital shorts and political humor, because the network will air a repeat of SNL from earlier this year, starring guest host Kristen Stewart. The episode was first broadcast just last month, on February 8, 2017. It was Kristen’s first time on SNL

Stewart broke out after starring as Twilight’s Bella, and since then, you’ve also seen her in The Runaways, On the Road, Cafe Society, Clouds of Sils Maria and Into the Wild. This month, the acclaimed film Personal Shopper came out starring Stweart as a personal shopper with psychic abilities.

It wasn’t a stand out episode overall, in our review of the February 4 show we described it as uneven, but it will forever go down in history as the night Melissa McCarthy showed up and surprised America with an instant classic when she appeared for the first time as White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. Well worth reliving that one. There were other memorable moments- Kristen Stewart accidentally dropping an F-Bomb on live television (which of course will be edited in the re-airing), a clever Willy Wonka sketch featuring Pete Davison, a solid Totinos Pizza Rolls digital short and some funny flubs during Weekend Update. On the minus side, is a lackluster cold open featuring Alec Baldwin as Trump (at least compared to some of his other appearances), and a rare miss of a Celebrity Family Feud parody.

In the promos for the episode, you got to hear Kristen sing…briefly, but if you’re looking for music, you’ll want to tune in to see musical guest Alessia Cara.
