Who is Hosting Saturday Night Live Tonight: December 3, 2016
Last week the Saturday Night Live stage was dark over Thanksgiving break while everyone at Rockefeller Center was focused on turkey and tree lightings. But everyone is back and ready to perform this week with an all new live show.
Emma Stone is set to host, and she’s got plenty of experience working with the cast. Stone has appeared in plenty of digital sketches over the years, and she’s hosted twice before– in 2010, and 2011. She made a surprise appearance during Andrew Garfield’s monologue in 2014, and most recently Stone appeared in the SNL 40th anniversary special in character as Gilda Radner’s Roseanne Roseannadana.
Stone is promoting her new movie La La Land, which is getting some big love from critics.
In appreciation of Stone’s long running relationship with the show, SNL released a montage of some of her most memorable appearances on the show over the years. A second promo shows Emma having some serious difficulty with an elevator shot, and in a third promo, Emma, Shawn Mendes and Kenan Thompson pick Secret Santas.
Shawn Mendes is this week’s musical guest. After tonight’s episode, SNL has announced their plans for the two remaining live episodes for 2016. WWE superstar John Cena will make his “SNL” debut as host on Dec. 10 with musical guest Maren Morris and on December 17, Casey Affleck will make his “SNL” debut with Chance the Rapper as musical guest.
