Weezer just released a video for their cover of Toto’s ‘Africa’ starring the king of parody songs, Weird Al Yankovic. The Weird One and co is in fact parodying Weezer performing a cover of Toto, and for the occasion he even tucked back his signature ringlets and grabbed a cardigan to channel Weezer’s lead singer, Rivers Cuomo. Wait, there’s one more level here…the video itself of Weezer’s Undone (The Sweater Song).
Al lets out his Al-ness during the accordion solo, originally performed for Weezer by Weird Al.
An entire generation has asked “what is the difference between Rivers Cuomo, and Al Yankovic”?
