Watch a Trailer for Joel McHale’s First Comedy Special

Actor and comedian Joel McHale will release his first-ever stand-up special, Joel McHale: Live from Pyongyang, on August 19th through the Comedy Dynamics Network via Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, Dish, Comcast and more.

Known for his roles on NBC’s Community, Netflix’s A Futile and Stupid Gesture, the 2018 black comedy The Happytime Murders, and more, McHale has also hosted The Soup on E!, The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale for Netflix, and will star as Starman in DC Universe’s upcoming Stargirl series. He said of the special: “Thanks Comedy Dynamics for releasing my one-hour special. It’s the funniest 15 minutes you’ll see this year.”

The special was directed by Comedy Dynamics CEO Brian Volk-Weiss, and produced by Comedy Dynamics’ Cisco Henson.

Joining originals from the likes of David Cross, Jim Gaffigan, and Henry Rollins, Joel’s special will be part of Comedy Dynamics award-winning and expansive roster. The largest independent comedy production and distribution company, with credits including specials with Tiffany Haddish, Ali Wong, Kevin Hart, and many more, the coming ‘Mad About You’ reboot, and many more entries in the spaces of stand-up, films, and TV, in 2019, all of the Grammy nominees for Comedy Album were CD productions.
