Waiter Arrested For Food Allergy Mistake

A Quebec waiter was arrested for a mistake that sent a customer into a coma. Simon-Pierre Canuel ordered the beef tartare and informed the waiter he had a serious salmon allergy. When the food came out, he dug in and realized it was salmon and had to run to the hospital where he went into a coma for a few days. The waiter never took any notes or talked to the kitchen staff about the allergy and instead drank and talked to other customers, so he could end up going to jail. He also got a pretty scathing Yelp review, so you can say things are getting pretty serious.
