“Us & Them” The Show That Was Cancelled Before It Even Aired

us-them-hed-2014

This may be a new record for a sitcom or at least a tie. FOX has cancelled “Us & Them”, the new series the network announced would air this Summer before one episode even got on TV. Ad Week reported that the network had ordered 13 episodes of the sitcom and then cut that back to 6 before cancelling it altogether. So FOX has 6 episodes plus the pilot that won’t see the light of day, unless another network comes in and buys it.

“Us & Them” was a remake of the British show, “Gavin & Stacey”. The series revolves around two people who have had an online relationship for 6 months. He lives in New York and she lives in PA and they finally decide to meet. Their long distance relationship gets hindered by their families and crazy friends.

The series had been getting good reviews and had a great cast which included Jason Ritter, Alexis Bledel, Michael Ian Black, Dustin Ybarra, Jane Kaczmarek, Kurt Fuller, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Aasif Mandvi.  So if you know anyone in the market for a never used sitcom filled with funny people in mint condition, please contact FOX.
