The Upright Citizens Brigade seemed to come out of nowhere and quickly became as influential to comedy as Second City or the Groundlings. Uproxx has put together a oral history of the group born out of ImprovOlympic in Chicago. UCB relocated to New York City in 1996 and the popularity of its shows and classes allowed the group to quickly open its own theater in Chelsea just three years later. The oral history includes comments from founders and members, Matt Walsh, Horatio Sanz, Matt Besser, Ian Roberts, Will Hines, Kurt Braunhoeler, Amanda Sitko, Mary Holland and Amy Poehler.
