Uh Oh! MTV Accidentally Plays Fresh Prince During Prince Tribute

Wolf Blitzer wasn’t the only one fucking up Prince tributes– yesterday he confused Purple Rain and Purple Haze. MTV got plenty of media attention yesterday too for a big fuck up. MTV suspended all programming to do non-stop Prince music video tribute. Well, they made a mistake and in the middle of all the actual Prince videos a Will Smith Fresh Prince music video showed up in the marathon.
Hey Fresh Prince, Prince… it’s kind of the same thing. Cut them some slack they haven’t paid attention to music for years.

Um…someone at MTV searched the "Prince" archives and now we've got Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince.
