Ted Sarandos Says Barbie and Oppenheimer Could Have Been Netlfix Movies

“Both of those movies would be great for Netflix. They definitely would have enjoyed just as big an audience on Netflix,” Sarandos said in an interview with the New York Times. “And so I don’t think there’s any reason to believe that certain kinds of movies do or don’t work. Daniel Stern Was a Whistleblower

In his new memoir, Stern says he was supposed to star in a sitcom called Partners in 1999. But the show fell apart after sexual assault accusations were leveled. “They offered me a boatload of money, made me an executive producer… they had a big-name director, Brett Ratner and we cast great actors, including Jeremy Piven,” he recalls. Women were confiding to him that “Brett and Jeremy were sexually harassing them, and they were afraid.” So he blew the whistle and the series never happened. Stern claims a producer pulled him aside and yelled, “Don’t you say a f–king word to anyone, or we’ll sue you!”
