In an all new episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, Leno talks with Daily Show host Trevor Noah joins Jay Leno on a look at cars that prize art over function. Titled “Rolling Sculpture” the episode premieres on Thursday, August 2 at 10 pm ET/PT. It’s a very special episode because Trevor grew up around a garage that his step father owned and so he knows his way around cars. But, he admits, he hated it.
In the Episoe, you’ll see Jay and comedian Trevor Noah take a ride in an outrageous Lamborghini Aventador. Then Jay meets Chris Runge, a designer who hand crafts works of moving art, and takes out one of the wackiest vehicles he’s driven yet – a space-age car so low he has to drive it lying down. Jay talks “Kustom rides” with legendary customizer-to-the-stars Rick Dore and learns about the wondrous cars of the steampunk movement. These vehicles may not be the fastest or easiest to drive, but they’re certainly fun to look at.
This preview clip gives away none of that, but you will find out why Trevor has puppy hands.
“Jay Leno’s Garage” takes the fast and the furious car fan for a high-octane spin across the country with a mix of stunts, reviews, celebrity interviews and challenges. As well as putting some of the world’s most amazing vehicles through their paces, Jay meets fellow car enthusiasts from who he’ll discover the touching, hilarious and sometimes hard to believe stories that make these cars more than just rubber and metal. There’s no wheel Jay won’t get behind to tell the story of our love affair with the automobile.
Jay Leno’s Garage airs on Thursdays at 10pm on CNBC at 10pm ET/PT. This all new episode debuts this Thursday, August 2nd.
