Tracy Morgan Announces Tour

Tracy Morgan Delivers in a Saturday Night Live All Time Great But Larry David Steals The Show

Now that Tracy Morgan has returned to work following a year long arduous recovery from a horrific car crash in the Summer of 2014, he’s busier than ever.

Within the span of a month, he appeared on the Prime Time Emmy Awards, returned to the stand up stage for the first time, started filming the movie Fist Fight with Charlie Day, hosted Saturday Night Live, and spoke at the recent Kennedy Center event honoring Eddie Murphy. Yesterday Morgan added ‘announced new stand up tour’ to the list. Morgan will embark on his Tracy Morgan: Picking Up the Pieces tour in 2016 which will kick off at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana and take him through Boston, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center and a host of other cities.

“It’s just like falling off a bike and getting back on, that’s all … you don’t forget where the pedals are”, Morgan said about returning to the stand up stage. “People can expect more of what I did before. It’s me – funny plus truth equals Tracy Morgan. I can’t wait to get back to ya’ll; city to city, state to state, watch me operate.”

Morgan has filmed an HBO special, and a Comedy Central special, has written a book and found gigantic success on television after friend and mentor Martin Lawrence gave him a spot on his hit series “Martin.” He of course went on to become a castmember on Saturday Night Live, and his role on NBC’s 30 Rock is one of the most memorable roles in modern comedy television.
