Tom Hardy Is Done With Romantic Comedies

The Rom-Com is the film genre that you can cross off of Tom Hardy’s career to-do list. Hardy, who is back in theaters this weekend with the crime drama “The Drop” (read about it in the IBang’s Filtered Excellence) had a bad experience with his 2012 romantic comedy movie “This Means War”.
Hardy told USA Today – “I didn’t understand how you could do something which is so much fun and be so miserable doing it.” He added – “I probably won’t do a romantic comedy again, do you know what I mean?”
“This Means War” also starred Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine. It only received a 26% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes and lost money at the box office. His other 2012 romantic comedy, “The Dark Knight Rises” did much better in theaters.
