Tig Notaro and Jon Dore Explain Knock Knock, It’s Tig Notaro…and Goldilocks

Last night on Conan, Tig talked about her experience creating “Knock, Knock It’s Tig Notaro.” They filmed the series by going to people’s homes, farms, and other places where no one does comedy. Conan asked “Why”? Tig explained that she feels she’s graduated from comedy clubs and now it’s on to barns. Conan pointed out that most people go on to theaters and stadiums after they graduate from clubs but Tig explained that “everyone has their dreams, this is mine.”

Dore talked a little about the experience saying, “I’ll never do it again.” He kind of missed having a manager to come tell people to keep it down when they get too noisy or interrupt. Other hazards of going the home tour route? Dogs crapping, kids yellings, children stepping in the dog crap– not conducive to performing comedy apparently.

When Conan asked them for some stories from their experience, they didn’t really have any, so instead, they shared the story of Goldilocks, as told through the unique perspectives of Tig Notaro and Jon Dore.
