Tiffany Haddish had a 2017 that most stand up comedians dream about: late night show gigs, a breakout role in a blockbuster hit movie Girls Trip, a stand up hour special on Showtime, a prominent role in a hit TV show with the Carmichael Show, hosted Saturday Night Live, and she wrote a bestselling book The Last Unicorn. 2018 is already looking great for the comedy super star: Haddish just booked a 30 second Super Bowl commercial with Groupon, and the ad will launch a campaign with Haddish as the new spokesperson of the company.
If you saw Haddish on Jimmy Kimmel Live this year, you heard her tell her story about using a Groupon with Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith. They used the Groupon to go on a swamp tour while filming on location in Louisiana. The company says Haddish is one of their power users, having saved thousands of dollars using the company’s offers and discounts.
“Nobody knows Groupon like I know Groupon,” Haddish said in a statement. “I’ve been speaking out for them for year. “In fact, I should have already been their spokesperson. I’ve invested lots of money into buying Groupon deals, and it’s about time I got an even bigger return on my investment than just saving money at my favorite local businesses.”
