The announcer for the Miami Heat urged fans to contact state senators to demand some kind of action regarding gun control on Wednesday before game five began. After asking for a minute of silence for the victims of the Uvalde massacre, he said “The Heat urges you to contact your state’s senators by calling 202-224-3121 to leave a message demanding their support for commonsense gun laws,” he said to loud applause as the number appeared on the Jumbotron. “You can also make change at the ballot box. Visit heat.com/vote to register and let your voice be heard this fall.”

When the public address announcer cares more than the senate, the country is circling the drain.

Brendan Langley says that the worker hit him first, and also that the airport employee called him a pussy. Brendan’s lawyer said “Brendan Langley was minding his business walking through the airport with his bags when he was accosted by a United Airlines employee who claimed to ‘run the airport. When Brendan tried to ignore him, the assailant followed and harassed Brendan, calling him a dick and a ‘pussy’ and challenging him to fight. Footage from the airport security cameras establishes without question that Brendan was in reasonable fear of physical harm, and reasonably and lawfully defended himself.”

So this employee called Brendan a pussy and physically threatened him.
