The Odds Your Kid Is Gonna Go Pro Is Incredibly Small

NPR looked into just how likely it is your kid is gonna be a pro baseball player one day and the odds are not in his favor. Doesn’t matter how many travel teams the kid is on or how much money you sink into his ‘future’, it probably ain’t gonna happen. 1 in 168 high school baseball players will be drafted by the MLB, and that’s no guarantee they’ll even make it to AAA, let alone the majors. Don’t show this study to anyone in the Dominican Republic.
