The Facebook Files: Cops Beware
A Philly police officer has been suspended without pay after an incident involving Facebook. Forty Four year old Jeffrey Tyther friended a female motorist he spotted on the road after looking up her vehicles information using a police database. He saw her on the road, waved to her and then ended up finding her on Facebook and emailing her after she didn’t respond to his initial attempts at contact. A friend of the woman’s saw his email and told her to go to the cops. The officer is being charged with computer theft and violating the motor vehicle record law. First, how attractive must this women of been that this dude was able to spot her in a moving car, and second, is there any profession safe from the Facebook?
