Ah, the old “vanity” credit has been the annoyance of film crews for 100 years now. Some directors will never use it, but some will only use it. The snag is when a director uses it, does it diminish the other hundreds of people who work on the movie?
Or in the case of Tyler Perry, couldn’t one of those people have stopped him!?
